Payment and Insurance
-
Yes. Encore Psychology is affiliated with Michigan Healthcare Professionals and Oakland Physicians Network Services and is paneled with several insurance providers. We verify coverage in advance to help prevent unexpected costs, but we also recommend confirming your benefits directly with your insurance company.
-
If we are not in-network with your insurance, we can provide a superbill — an itemized form you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
-
We cannot release results until insurance reimbursement has been completed. While reimbursement often takes a few months, timing can vary depending on your insurance provider. If timely results are important, we recommend considering the self-pay option.
-
Yes. Before scheduling your evaluation, we will provide you with an estimate of costs based on your insurance coverage or your choice to self-pay. We want you to feel fully informed before moving forward.
Testing and Results
-
Testing typically takes place over three sessions. It begins with an initial intake session (remote or in person) the week before testing, where we gather background information to tailor the evaluation. The testing session follows the next week and lasts two or more hours, depending on the assessments needed. If you are using self-pay, FSA, or HSA, a feedback session is scheduled one to two weeks after testing. If you are using insurance, the feedback session will occur after reimbursement has been completed.
-
The evaluation session typically lasts between two and five hours, depending on the assessments selected.
-
For self-pay, FSA, or HSA clients, results are provided within one to two weeks during a detailed feedback session. For insurance clients, results are shared after insurance reimbursement is received.
-
During the feedback session, your provider will review your full report, explain the testing results in detail, and walk through recommendations — including accommodations, resources, and strategies tailored to your needs.
-
The final report typically includes:
Test results
Learning strengths and areas for growth
Diagnostic information (if applicable)
Recommendations for school, work, home, and community support
A list of useful resources
-
Yes! We’re happy to answer questions, assist with accommodations, and offer additional support even after testing is completed.
