An evaluation produces diagnostic clarity, sometimes that's a specific diagnosis, sometimes a different one than expected, sometimes a clear "no" with a different explanation for what you've been experiencing. The point is to know.

Standard turnaround is 5 to 10 business days after the final evaluation session for private pay, and 6 to 8 weeks for insurance. A 48-hour expedited private-pay option is available for fixed-date deadlines (IEP meetings, court dates, accommodation application deadlines, etc.), for an additional fee.

Yes. You receive the full report.

Yes, with your written permission, we can deliver the report directly to any third party you specify.

Yes. The evaluation answers different questions than ongoing therapy does, and we coordinate with treatment providers when it's helpful.

No. You can schedule directly with our team. Many of our clients are referred by therapists, pediatricians, or attorneys, but a referral isn't required.

We typically have intake openings within 1 to 2 weeks of your inquiry.

The intake is a 50-minute conversation about what you're looking for and what the process would look like. The evaluation sessions follow if you decide to move forward; they're the actual testing.

Yes. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling or cancellation, and we'll work with you on timing constraints.

We're in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Blue Care Network (BCN), and Priority Health.

We provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement. Many out-of-network plans partially reimburse psychological evaluation and therapy; we'll explain what to expect during intake.

No, we don't currently accept Medicaid.

Fees vary by evaluation type and scope. We'll explain exactly what to expect during the intake conversation; no surprise bills.

Some are; some aren't. Insurance coverage depends on the specific evaluation question, the diagnostic code, and your individual plan. For example: ADHD and autism evaluations are often partially covered when there's a clinical question being addressed, while exam accommodations evaluations are typically not covered (they're completed for an external purpose, not for clinical treatment). We'll verify your specific benefits during intake.

If you're an adult and live in one of the 40 states that participate in PSYPACT, yes; we offer online evaluation under PSYPACT. Child and teen evaluations are in-person.

PSYPACT (Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology) is the multi-state credential that lets a psychologist licensed in one state see clients across state lines. It's how we can see adult clients across 40 states from our Michigan-based practice.

Yes. The clinical measures we use for adult evaluations are validated for online administration. The report is the same kind of report, the recommendations are the same kind of recommendations, and the depth of the work is the same.
