Encore Psychology

Psychological Evaluations and Therapy

Clarity is the starting point. Encore Psychology provides doctoral-level psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and adults across the lifespan (from age two through adulthood), along with integrative therapy. Every evaluation is overseen by a doctoral-level clinician. Our founder, Dr. Brooke Colman, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. We are part of Michigan Healthcare Professionals (MHP), with our primary location in Bloomfield Hills, and we offer telehealth evaluations to adults in 40 states through PSYPACT, an agreement among participating states that lets a licensed psychologist work with clients across state lines.

Where to begin

Evaluations Across the Lifespan

Whether you are a parent seeking answers for a young child, a teen navigating school and social demands, or an adult who has wondered for years whether ADHD or autism explains your experience, Encore Psychology offers comprehensive testing at the stage of life where clarity matters most.

  • Children and teens (ages 2 through 17): ADHD, autism, learning disorders, and developmental concerns
  • Adults (18 and older): ADHD, autism, neuropsychological testing, accommodations documentation, and specialty evaluations

Every evaluation is built around the person in front of us, not a generic checklist.

For Adults

ADHD, autism, neuropsychological testing, accommodations documentation, and specialty evaluations for adults 18 and older.

One focus of our practice

Adult autism and ADHD evaluation, in Michigan or online in 40 states

Many adults reach a point where they want real answers, not more guesses.

Whether you have wondered about ADHD for years, or are exploring what an autism diagnosis might mean for your life, a comprehensive evaluation at Encore gives you documented clarity grounded in who you actually are, not a generic profile.

Adult ADHD testing is a thorough, multi-method assessment designed to capture how you focus, organize, process, and function across the areas of your life that matter most. Results translate into concrete strategies, not just a label.

Adult autism evaluations are built around the understanding that many adults seeking assessment later in life have already developed their own ways of navigating the world. Testing names what has always been true, and opens the door to support that fits.

Therapy

Encore Psychology offers integrative therapy for adults, adolescents, and children. Dr. Brooke Colman's own approach is integrative and CBT-anchored, and we are actively building our therapy team to serve more people in the coming months. Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis, a life transition, or something harder to name, therapy at Encore is built around you, not a standard template.

What Makes Encore Different

Thorough, multi-method evaluations

Our reports are multi-page and go well beyond a diagnosis. Every evaluation is a roadmap: individualized strategies, therapy recommendations, and accommodation guidance drawn from your specific results and life circumstances.

Individualized, never cookie-cutter

Just because we use a standardized measure doesn't mean we don't take into account that every experience you have is very unique.

A long view

We deliberately say support rather than help, because everyone benefits from additional support at different points in life. Encore is a steppingstone on a lifelong journey, not a one-time stop. You are welcome to return as your life changes, without starting over.

Encore Psychology is part of Michigan Healthcare Professionals (MHP), a physician group serving metro Detroit. In-person appointments are available Monday through Friday at 33 Bloomfield Hills Parkway, Suite 225, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304.

Specialty evaluations

When you need an evaluation for a specific decision

Some evaluations exist to answer one question for a court, an agency, an employer, or a clinic. Encore conducts adoption, reproductive and fertility, guardianship, driver’s license restoration, fitness for duty, parenting and custody, and independent medical evaluations, each with a written report addressed to the party who needs it.

Why Encore

What sets the work apart

Doctoral-level oversight.

Dr. Colman is the supervising doctoral clinician on every evaluation. As the practice grows, testing specialists will work under her supervision, and reports remain grounded in doctoral-level oversight.

Reports that actually get used.

An evaluation here ends with a roadmap, not a verdict. Recommendations are written to be carried into IEPs, accommodations applications, therapy, court filings, or family conversations, whichever you came for.
