Pyschological Testing

Understand yourself better with psychological testing

Psychological testing helps people of all ages gain a clearer understanding of their emotions, behaviors, and thinking patterns. At Encore Psychology, we provide thorough evaluations that can lead to accurate diagnoses and personalized recommendations for school, work, and daily life.

We work with children, teens, adults, and older adults, offering support for a wide range of concerns — from ADHD, autism, and learning differences to anxiety, depression, memory issues, and more.

What is psychological testing?

Psychological, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological testing involves a comprehensive assessment of emotional, personality, and cognitive functioning using standardized tests and clinical procedures.

Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s age and needs, and may involve a variety of tasks depending on the reason for the assessment — whether it’s a child struggling at school, a teen facing emotional challenges, an adult navigating work or life stressors, or an older adult with concerns about memory or cognitive changes.

What to expect during your evaluation.

Psychological and neuropsychological assessments typically include:

  • Clinical Interview

    (1 hour)

A discussion of medical history, symptoms, and concerns.

  • Testing Sessions

    (4-8 hours)

A combination of standardized tests, conducted over one to three days if needed, with breaks provided.

  • No Invasive Procedures

All assessments are done with paper-and-pencil, computer, or iPad—no needles, x-rays, or medical procedures are involved.

  • Comprehensive Report

Once testing is complete, we prepare a detailed report with findings and recommendations, which will be reviewed with you in a follow-up appointment.
